Saying the words President Obama feel pretty good. Watching the youth of this country generally excited about something other than Britney Spears feels even better.
It's hard not to think that we are entering a new era in American politics. Barack Obama has inspired a generation of people and given them hope for change. It's an amazing historic time to be an American, live in America, and have that feeling of hope.
Being in Chicago is especially exciting. This was a huge victory for the home team this election. Obama's Grant Park speech was watched by millions. For one night, the entire world was focused entirely on Chicago. All day yesterday, the mood of the city was elevated and had a real sense of euphoria.
It's a good time to be American.
